St. Luke provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients. Emergency room services are available on a 24-hour per day, seven-day per week basis. Among the services we provide are: Nursing and Surgery, Complete Lab Services, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Home Care, St. Luke Living Center and Nerve Conduction Testing.

Our ER department is staffed with RN's who are certified in ACLS (advanced cardiac life support). Many of our RN's are also certified in PALS (pediatric advanced life support, TNCC (Trauma nurse core course) and ENPC (emergency nurse pediatric course). Our Emergency Department has 24/7 physician coverage by our local medical staff during the week and a rotation of resident physicians on the weekends.

St. Luke is proud to offer many types of laparoscopic surgery. This is done using a scope to perform repair or to make a diagnosis. Types of Laparoscopic Surgery offered at St. Luke include: Cholecystectomy - removal of the gallbladder; Appendectomy - removal of the appendix; Laparoscopic Vaginal Assisted Hysterectomy - removal of uterus; Laparoscopic Tubal Ligation - prevention of pregnancy; Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication - repair of the lower esophageal sphincter; Diagnostic Laparoscopy - visualization of abdominal cavity for diagnosis; and Hysteroscopy - Visualization of the inside of the uterus.

St. Luke provides a variety of endoscopic procedures. Types of Endoscopic Procedures offered include: Bronchoscopy - visualization of the trachea, bronchi and lungs; Colonoscopy - visualization of colon from rectum to the ileocecal valve; Cystoscopy - visualization of the lower urinary tract, including the urethra, bladder and urethral openings; Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) - visualization of the esophagus, stomach and proximal duodenum; and Laryngoscopy - visualization of the interior of the larynx.

St. Luke Laboratory provides services to inpatients, outpatients, residents, home care and several clinics, including family practice physicians, an oncologist, an urologist, a surgeon and nursing homes. The Lab Department provides routine testing services between the hours of 6 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. We provide 24 hour on-call staffing every day of the year.

Radiology services include: MRI; GE LightSpeed CT Scanning Technology; Nuclear Medicine; Ultrasound Services; Mammography Services.

St. Luke Hospital Physical Therapy Department professionals are committed to returning our patients to their optimal level of function and performance in the shortest amount of time possible. Our experienced team of therapists offers a wide array of services, individually tailored to each patient's needs. We provide skilled interventions to treat the following: Musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction; sports-related injuries; Balance disorders; neurological rehabilitation; Pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation; Prenatal and postnatal programming; prosthetic and orthotic training; work-related injuries; and cumulative trauma injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis.

St. Luke Marion County Home Care provides services for patients who are homebound and require skilled visits from time to tome. Services include: Skilled nursing visits to assess care coordination and treatment for diagnosed illnesses and conditions; physical/occupational therapies and speech pathology; personal care.

St. Luke Living Center provides a home away from home for your family member. We are committed to skilled, compassionate care for those unable to care for themselves. We offer high-quality care from experienced, caring professionals who work together with families to determine the comprehensive health care necessary for our residents.

The St. Luke staff is professional, experienced, compassionate, and trained in the latest techniques to ensure that all patients receive the specialized treatment necessary from a full-service hospital. Our professionals are specialized in their respective field, graduates of accredited schools and licensed as appropriate. We offer a wide range of services, with additional specialized functions available by contract. Our mission is to continually improve the health and qualify of life for the people of this community.
