Overview:
24 hrs/wk; Provides health education to patients with diabetes and patients with other health related problems. Assists with coordination of inpatient and outpatient diabetic programs. Registered Nurse or Registered Dietician currently licensed in the state of Nebraska with current knowledge in diabetes; BSN preferred. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or willing to obtain in 2 year of hire. Knowledge of how to maintain insulin pumps. Recent diabetic education and experience are preferred. Knowledge of adult learning principles.
