Urgent Care Provider (NP or PA) – Full Time
Greater Oklahoma City, OK
SSM Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy Urgent Care clinic in the north Oklahoma City area. The clinic is conveniently located near major highways and offers a team-based practice environment.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: 14 twelve-hour shifts per month
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and 1-2 Saturdays each month.
- Operation: Clinic operates 7 days a week
- Staffing: Dedicated support team including Medical Assistants and Office Assistants
- On-site Services: X-ray and laboratory services available
- Patient Population: Treat patients of all ages
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive urgent care within the full scope of licensure
- Evaluate and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
- Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care)
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Oklahoma NP or PA license
- Board-certified or board-eligible
- PA: NCCPA
- NP: ANCC or AANP (FNP required)
- Active DEA (or ability to obtain)
- BLS certification
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- EHR proficiency
- Willingness to work occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast track experience
- Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)
- Experience with initial X-ray interpretation
