Job Description:
Maintains necessary logs for the office and monitors time sheets daily to stay within scheduled hours. Communicates clearly with patients, co-workers, office managers, physicians, and administration. Maintains good working relationships with staff members, physicians, and administration, and handles constructive criticism professionally. Answers telephones professionally, takes messages in the EMR system, and tasks to the appropriate Care Team Member. Schedules new and follow-up appointments and explains the registration process and procedure preparation to patients. Enters patient demographics accurately into the Practice Management system and confirms all necessary documents for patient treatment. Abstracts patient charts into the EMR system and scans documents into their chart. Checks patients out after exams, ensuring they have appropriate documents, patient plans, and any necessary orders. Cleans and prepares patient rooms throughout the business day and ensures completion before the end of the shift. Other duties as assigned. Welcomes patients into the exam room after check-in and prepares patient intake information based on physician preferences. Performs X-rays in compliance with RSO standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. [Required] • Knowledge of basic math and modern office equipment (fax machine, copy machine, scanner, etc.) [Required] • Basic and intermediate computer knowledge and skills. [Required] • Basic medical terminology [Required] • Additional languages [Preferred] • Knowledge of multi-tasking in a physician’s office [Preferred] • Ability to handle a high-volume clinic [Preferred]
