Pediatric Hospitalist Position Overview
In this pediatric hospitalist role, you will play a vital part in shaping the inpatient pediatric experience, ensuring high-quality care delivery while collaborating closely with specialists, nursing teams, and community providers. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive environment with a strong focus on clinical excellence and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities for Pediatric Hospitalist
- Provide direct inpatient care, including daily rounds, admissions, and discharges
- Interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and manage ongoing treatment plans
- Perform essential pediatric procedures such as IV placement, lumbar punctures, and resuscitations
- Collaborate with subspecialists, surgeons, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to resident education and mentorship

Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
- Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
