BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Surgical Pathology Technical Coordinator at Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MBMC) - Surgical Pathology Dept
Position Details:
- Day Shift Hours: Mon-Fri (7am - 3:30pm)
- Provide bench level support to all positions within Anatomic Pathology
- Provide operational oversight such as facilitation of schedules
- Mentor & train new staff
- Assess & prioritize work
Requirements:
- Bachelor?s Degree in Physical/Life Science or related field
- CT (ASCP) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of cytology experience

Role Purpose
Performs all duties of a cytotechnologist or histotechnologist/histotechnician, utilizing the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of all patients and clients by providing quality results in a timely manner. Provides daily operational oversight (determine schedules, manage day to day workflow, and give input into an assessment or disciplinary action). Provides technical support to all bench level positions within Anatomic Pathology. May be responsible for one or more technical areas of focus, to include training, quality assurance, and technical support.
